What Can We Do To Make Sure We Are Living Our Values?

Values are the core beliefs and philosophies we have about what is important in life.

We develop our principles and standards of behavior based on our values and they serve as a compass, helping us weigh our choices and make effective decisions. Our values are integral to who we are as individuals and how we relate to others. They are an important part of how we see the world and potent motivators for us, supplying our lives and work with meaning and purpose.

The choices we identify, the decisions we make, and the actions we take are the primary ways we operationalize or live our values. When we are clear about what our values are and are able to live and work in alignment with them, we feel satisfied and fulfilled. But, in addition to a lack of clarity about our values, there may also be circumstances or times in our lives when we aren’t able to exercise full control over what we do or how we do it. And when that happens, it can create a misalignment between our personal values and what is required of us personally or professionally.

When we are unable to live in alignment with our highest priority values over an extended period of time, we feel stressed and can become frustrated, demotivated, and burned out. So what can we do to make sure we are clear about our values, and how do we ensure we can live in alignment with them?

Please join us on April 18th for a values clarification exercise, discussion and sharing of best practices for living in alignment with our highest priority values.
